Enggang (Pekan) Sdn Bhd, the proponent of PPRP, hosted a seminar to share updates on the peatland restoration project and nature-based carbon solutions. The event brought together government agencies, researchers, NGOs, and Indigenous communities to discuss climate, biodiversity, and community benefits.
The seminar marked an important milestone, serving as a checkpoint to update stakeholders on the latest progress of PPRP and its role in protecting and restoring one of the region’s most critical peatland ecosystems.
Participants received transparent updates on the project’s progress and impact on conservation and community development. An open dialogue was held to strengthen trust and collaboration among all stakeholders.The participants represented a broad spectrum of voices, including, government agencies, academia & research institutions, civil society & NGOs and indigenous and local communities.

The seminar highlighted that restoring peatlands and tackling climate change require collective action and long-term cooperation.
