Community Engagement and Consultation
Community engagement and consultation are fundamental components of the project to ensure that the rights, needs, and aspirations of local communities are fully respected and integrated into project planning and implementation. The project adopts a participatory and transparent approach guided by the principles of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC), ensuring that communities are adequately informed and voluntarily involved in decision-making processes prior to the implementation of any project activities that may affect them.
To support open and transparent communication, the project has established a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM). This mechanism allows community members to raise concerns, provide feedback, or submit complaints through accessible channels, including direct communication with project staff, designated contact numbers via phone calls or WhatsApp, GRM boxes located in the villages, and an official email address.
All grievances are carefully documented and addressed in a timely and transparent manner, ensuring accountability, and maintain trust between the project and the communities.
Community Development Program
The project is committed to improving the well-being and resilience of local communities through a comprehensive Community Development Program, guided by the Community Monitoring Plan. This plan focuses on three key outcomes:
